Most recent smartphones read NFC tags without any app. iPhones (XS and newer) and most NFC-enabled Android devices open the linked page directly when tapped. A backup QR code can be printed on the object to cover older devices or users who have disabled NFC.

Compatibility, operation and packs
Yes. From the Timelapse-3D back-office you can change the redirect, the form, the CTAs, the commercial offer, the game or the landing page at any time, without producing the objects again. Already-distributed giveaways automatically point to the new scenario.
The Acquisition Pack captures and qualifies leads through landing pages, smart forms and scoring. The Loyalty Pack automates follow-ups, Google review collection and referral. The Engagement Pack adds gamified marketing mechanics (wheel, raffle, instant win), challenges, rewards and viral loops.
Yes. Data is hosted in France, forms include the explicit consent required, and exports as well as user-data deletion remain controllable at any time from the back-office. Timelapse-3D also provides a GDPR-compliant records of processing activities on request.
Depending on quantity, object type and customization level, expect 5 to 15 business days between print proof (BAT) validation and delivery. The configuration of the digital scenario in the back-office happens in parallel, within a few hours.
Yes. Leads and interactions can be exported as CSV or synced in real time via API, webhooks, Zapier or native integrations. HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho and Microsoft Dynamics are natively supported. Other CRMs go through REST API or webhook.
Pricing, ordering and samples
Unit price depends on the object (keyring, magnet, medal, card), the quantity and the customization level. As a reference, NFC keyrings start around €1.80 ex. VAT/unit for large series. The back-office and digital scenarios are included. Request a quote for an exact pricing.
The standard MOQ is 50 units for personalised keyrings and magnets. For more technical objects (connected medals, multi-feature badges, custom-shape objects), the minimum is between 100 and 250 units depending on the project.
Yes. On request we ship a physical sample (keyring or NFC magnet) with your logo prototyped. It is the perfect opportunity to validate print quality, the feel of the object and to test the NFC scan to your landing page before committing to production.
NFC technology: lifespan, durability, range
A QR code requires opening the camera and framing the code. NFC triggers the link as soon as the smartphone is held close to the object, without any app or extra manipulation. NFC also offers a more immersive ("magic") experience and better conversion rates during field events. Both can be combined on the same object to maximise coverage.
The NFC chips used by Timelapse-3D are rated for around 100,000 read/write cycles and keep working for 5 to 10 years under normal conditions. Since the target URL is managed server-side, the object stays usable even when your campaigns evolve.
Our chips are encapsulated in a protective layer resistant to water and slight flexing. A tag can withstand normal rain or a damp wipe. On the other hand, a sharp fold (> 90°), direct puncture on the antenna or prolonged exposure above 70°C can deactivate the chip.
NFC works at very short range, typically between 0 and 4 cm. This is intentional: it guarantees the scan is intentional and exploitable as a marketing signal (unlike Bluetooth which can trigger unwanted interactions).
Customization and design
We accept vector files (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF) for optimal print quality. Raster formats (PNG, JPG) are accepted as long as the resolution is at least 300 DPI. Our team can also rework a low-resolution logo for a small clean-up fee.
Yes. For every order, a Timelapse-3D designer checks the quality of your file and proposes a print proof (BAT) before production. For projects requiring full visual creation or a logo redesign, we offer a custom design package.
Use cases and marketing
Our clients cover B2B events and trade shows, real estate (Nestenn), kitchen and furniture (Schmidt, Château d'Ax), industry (Hager, Sovematic), pool and spa (Irripiscine), higher education (Institut Polytechnique de Paris), hospitality, plus franchise networks and local retailers.
The Engagement Pack includes gamified mechanics: prize wheel, raffle, instant win, Tetris, Mario-like and custom challenges. Each NFC scan can trigger participation, and the rewards (discounts, gifts, digital badges) are configurable from the back-office. Leaderboards, levels and bonus draws drive virality.
Every user who has scanned an NFC object receives a unique referral link. When a referee scans in turn or completes the expected action (purchase, signup, review), both referrer and referee automatically receive a configured reward. Referral tracking, conversions and reward management are centralised in the back-office.
Yes. An NFC scan can redirect straight to your Google Business Profile review form with a pre-filled contextual message. This simple mechanic can significantly increase your Google review flow (up to +300% with some of our customers) without adding friction for the customer.
The back-office displays in real time: scans per object or campaign, conversions (leads, purchases, reviews, referrals), geographic sources, conversion rate, performance per object type, estimated ROI per campaign, and 7/30/90-day trends. CSV exports and automated email reports are available. See the ROI calculator to estimate your return on investment.
CRM integrations and API
Native integrations cover HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM and Microsoft Dynamics. For less common CRMs, lead delivery is handled via Zapier, Make (Integromat) or our public REST API. On request we provide a custom connector for proprietary CRMs.
